We live in a world where many people label you as a freak if you subscribe to ideas like this, yet no one can argue with the logic. Be strong, be confident and most of all respond in a spirit of love… but you already know that. Thanks for the kind words.

Money is a man made concept. The only things that can be taken away from us are the man made “things”. No one can hurt us - no matter what they do or say - unless we let them. When I was a child, I would easily have my feelings hurt if someone insulted me, picked on me or made fun of me. But, really, I was the one who gave them that power over me. I was the only one who could choose how to react to any “hurtful” things which may have been thrown at me. If someone calls me “fat” or “stupid” or “ugly” I have two choices.

First, I can feel very badly that they would say such things to me. I can be sad, cry, have a terrible day and dwell on it. But that’s an aweful lot of power to give someone, because reacting that way is really giving them the power to control how I feel.

Second, I can understand that no one but me can make me feel badly, sad etc. No one but me can choose to add to the negative energy associated with the negative event (e.g. calling me a name). Let me repeat that - NO ONE except ME can choose to let that negative event have a negative effect on me. I can very simply see it as negativity, created by the other person, trying to get me to add to it - trying to get me to create more negative energy. Jesus said turn the other cheek. That’s genius! If I turn the other cheek, I can’t add to the negativity. I don’t feel badly. Instead I let love control the situation and turn that negative energy into positive energy.

Now understand - there is energy out there which WANTS you to panic. It wants you to fear the future. It wants you to be very, very scared about your finances. Yet being scared does not do ANYTHING to change things. It only adds fuel to the negativity flame. I learned this first hand. I’ve had everything. I’ve lost everything. The fear and worry never once did anything to help the situation.

In the end, the only thing which really helped was stepping back, seeing those good things which no one could take away from me. In my case it was often the love surrounding me in the form of my family and friends. Some days it was a beautiful sunset or the miraculous beauty of a simple flower. No one can take the appreciation of those things away from you. And appreciation is the foundation for love.

Appreciate the the things you have. Appreciate life, for the sake of living. Let the financial markets do as they may. Turn off the TV, put down the newspaper and take a walk. See the beauty and goodness that surrounds you, and start creating love. No one can take that from you.
